seems like forever since I posted a pic at SMF.Been building a smoker getting close.

Thanks all, the drum is a pressure tank from a waterwell-the math tells me it's 35 gal. but I think closer to 45,the bladder pulled out pretty good. thats where the lower grate will sit-than a upper 1 less than flush to top of drum.Had to build the grates - 25 inch Dia.2 coal baskets 1 long burn & 1 short.First test run it went 6 hrs.@250* with 5#s my homegrown lump,pretty happy bout that.Roger thats my back yard and 40-as U can see I'm below a flight path-and the pit is my version of a kiva-sitting around the fire sorta thing.Wanted to get it done this WE. but been neglecting chores around here so gonna have to wait.as both smokers are going now and more jerky waiting for a opening.
