Butt Rubbing

Going to try my first butt and I've read a lot of great posts. I'm going to use mustard and a dry rub, but should I do this in advance (say 24 hours prior) or should this be done right before I smoke it?

I use EVOO, then put my rub on, bag them and into the fridge for the night. But you don't have too, you can rub and then smoke them right away.

I like to rub it the night before and wrapit in saran wrap and then into the frig. Then take it out and let it set on the counter for a litle while to come to room temp. Then into the smoker with it.

I also rub mine and put it in the fridge over night. I have three that I am going to rub this morning.

The question is do you guys inject yours the day before as well or wait just before you put them on the smoker to inject them?

I usually do the mustard and rub the night b4 and then hit it w/ the rub one more time right before going on the pit.

I always rub butts, ribs, and hams the night before, if at all possible.

I like doing it the night before and then adding more rub before smoking, but that is just me... It is all a personal choice...
