Looking goo Dude! My friends always tell me I'm crazy for smoking in the winter but the never hesitate to eat it when I get done. Go figure. I usually use boston butt's from Hy-vee as well. Where can a person get boston butts that aren't flavor enhanced around here?

You got a Fareway around you? That's where I try and get mine. Whenever Hy-Vee has theirs on sale, Fareway seems to also. Just scored some a week or 2 ago for 99 cents/lb

Nice Porkage El Duderino......Where's the rug man......

Looks good man.

yeah, we have fareway around here. I was thinking that their pork loin is flavor enhanced so I just assumed thier butts were too. I will definetly look next time I'm there. Thanks for the tip.

Yeah, it's been a busy day. Thanks for looking.

No problem buddy. Still cooking now. So guess we'll have to wait.

I vote for Fareway too. They've got the best selection of meats and supposedly much higher quality than Hy-Vee.

Well after the Chinaman pee'd all over it, then Maude took it. Glad you like the pork and are a fan of the movie.

It's been on for 10 hours now and it's sitting at 194*. I'm gonna fall asleep before this thing finishes. Hopefully I'll still be able get some more pictures up tonight.

The pulled pork is pretty much done. This went on the smoker about 10am and ready for pulling at 10pm. I'm posting this and going to bed!

I'll bet I could just blow on that bone and it'll fall right out. And since I finished in the oven, the pan is about half full of liquid.

well it didn't fall out, but there sure wasn't any resistance when I pulled it out.

Pulled super easy. Lots of fat in this one. Felt like I tossed away half the darned thing.

I foiled the pan as is and saved the juices. Tomorrow I'll skim the fat off and add the juices back in and then bag it up in some vacu-bags.

Thanks for checking out my Qview!

I could sit here and express how great that looks, tell you about the drool juices flowing and how I loved all of your posts on your great smokes today but instead I am going to bed.
Been a long day with more snow shoveling and dealing with "geniuses" driving on the crap snow covered roads around here.
You deserve a standing ovation for todays smoke but since you wouldn't hear me clapping from this far away I'll just stand up and toss out some

instead.

Dont know if you have any Costco's out your way. If you do, you can get a nice whole boneless shoulder that is not enhanced. Very reasonably priced too.

Good luck and Good Smokin!

Wow excellent job

that is one of the things on my wish list
I've never smelled and tasted it,because that is not eaten
here in belgium or in Europe (that I know)

Thanks for the points and the comments Jim! That means a lot. Get some rest and take it easy...I know you will.

Thank you treegje. Really?!? No pulled pork ever? Man that's pretty close to the top of things that most American smokers make on a regular basis. Now I'll admit it's not nearly as glamorus as some of the stuff you create. But Pulled Pork is just one of those things you get a craving for.

I think tonight I'm going to make Pulled Pork Enchiladas with it! The rest is now bagged up and in the freezer for use later.

Thank you to everyone who left comments and points. They are always appreciated. I hope you all have a very merry Christmas and a safe entry into 2010.

That looks great man - don't forget to send me a platefull! You must be one tired puppy after the previous day you had and this one. Great job

Dude, that looks amazing. What an mouth watering color it had when it came out of the smoker. I have never done pulled pork, but after seeing yours, its a must do for sure. Great job.

Thanks gang. Been a while since I've checked this thread.

Jim,
Even after living in this town most of my life, I've still never been to B&B Grocery. Is that where you buy all your meat?

Thanks for the points meathunter. Much appreciated.

great looking qview Dude. What ever happened to the "chuckie"? If I remember right you said you had one on also. I also love pulled pork, with just about anything.
