Hi all! I have been wanted to get into smoking meat for awhile now and found a Brinkmann Charcol smoker on sale locally and of course they were sold out... but got a floor model for 25.00! My first attempt at smoking will be this weekend, maybe some chicken or ribs? I'll be looking at the forums to get ideas for doing it right or close to it! Thanks!

Aloha Hollywood,

Welcome to the forum. Its a great place to hang out and pick up pointers from a lot of friendly people. Great deal on the smoker. If you haven't done so already, get a good thermometer. The ones with the stock smokers are pretty inaccurate. You're going to do better with your rib or chicken smokes if you have a good thermometer to guide you. Take care..have fun and post Q-views when you can.

Welcome to the forums! Always glad to see another OR smoker - rain or shine, let there be smoke!
