OK so I go out and get the 15 lb stuffer from gander mountain, so I could end my weekend long issues of stuffing small sausage casings.

The stuffer does not come with a small tube so I buy the "accessory" set that has a 1/2 inch tube. Tried it out, wont work.

I called LEM, they discontinued the 3/8 tube, none in stock, called sausage maker, searched the web, and have not found one yet.

Does anyone know where I can find one of these?

Try Butcher Packer, or MidWestern Research and Supply. They both carry a large assortment of stuffer tubes for a variety of stuffers. Might have what you need. Both are reputable, reliable vendors.

Lem also has 3/8 stuffer tubes. I use the 3/8 one that came with my grinder and just slip it over the 1/2 tube from the stuffer. Works for me. Just my 2¢ worth.

I called LEM this morning and they told me that they do not have them anymore. The fella I talked to did not seem to be the brightest bulb, but I could not find it on the web site either.

Thanks

I got the 7/16 one here: Works with my LEM 5 lb stuffer.

Pretty darned pricey, but I couldn't find anything either, it works for snack stix.

It's only 1/16 bigger than 3/8 so the small casings work with it.

It looks handmade. I think you could make your own if you found some rigid plastic tubing the right size, and a stainless steel washer the right size, and some good strong glue. Just a thought.

You are not only ordering the diameter of the tube, but make sure that the end that mounts to the stuffer is the right diameter to fit your stuffer under the nut.

Probably deserves a call to the vendor before you actually order.
