I'm on my way to building my first UDS and I'm totally stoked. One question though. The hardware I got for my air intakes are brass. Are there any problems taking brass to the temps of my charcoal basket? If so...the only home improvement place around me is Menards..wth are the ones I need?

Hmmm, Ya know, after re-reading my post it may look a little wise azz. I didn't really mean it like that. Well maybe just a little.

The brass is gonna do fine. I don't think that there would be any neoprene or other gaskets or "O" rings in the valve assembly but it wouldn't hurt to check.

Wasn't totally sure if it was the same deal as galvanized..and I don't want any of that seeing as I feed ppl that I love. If it were my neighbor......J/K!!

Thanks guys! Was wondering if I'd have to shell out more mulah!
