Hey everyone, nice to join the forums where I hope to learn the art of smoking! I love making ribs in the oven and finishing on the grill, but I always knew they were missing something. I scored a smoke vault 24 at Ace hardware for $198! (and its my christmas present) so I cant open it just yet, but rest asured, Ill get the wife to let me open it soon enough. first I need to learn a few things. Ive been reading over the forums quite a bit, so I know alot of the basics, and I cant wait to put them to the test. I live in Lyman Utah, my wife is from the philippines, and we have 2 handsome boys and one in the oven (or smoker now!) I am 30 years old so i have a lot of years ahead of me to become a seasoned pro! Oh, my real name is Shaun, you can call me smokypete or just Pete!

Welcome Pete, glad to have you here. Much to learn. Where is Lyman? I lived in SLC area for 10 years.

Welcome Pete, not to worry. You'll be up and smokin like a pro in no time and yer waist line will prove it!!!!! LMAO
