Hello everyone! My name is Rudy, I live in Rancho Cucamonga California. I'm 34, with a beautiful wife, 3 amazing children, & 2 dogs.
Self employed - I do Graphics, Banners, & Signs.

Totally new to smoking meat and I stumbled upon this site because I am currently on a search for a real grill and my first smoker. As of now I'm all charcoal grilling but, it's time to kick my meat up a notch.

I've already spent a few hours reading about Fattys, Mods, and boy am I excited!

I have lots of questions and I'm glad I found this place.

You have come to the right place my friend. These folks are incredibly knowledgeable... As a noobie myself, I can tell you first hand that you will learn alot. Welcome, and enjoy your time here at SMF!

Welcome!
You will learn a lot in a short amount of time, don't be afraid to ask questions.

Word of advice, don't rush out a purchase a smoker.
I have been on here for 5 weeks and have changed my mind at least that many times on which type of smoker I will purchase (gas, coal, electric) and then which brand.

Shop around, ask advice here on the board and figure out which fits you.
I have 2 Weber kettles and smoke on them now, very versatile grill until I find my next unit.

Good luck!

Hello and welcome from Fallbrook. Glad to see you on board. The So Cal group is growing and maybe we can get a gathering together somewhere in the spring
