Novice smoker with an appetite for more. I’ve had my trusty little vertical smoker for about 10 years. Used it once or twice a summer, mostly for smoking turkey, until a year ago. Started smoking pork – and found myself doing that at least once a month over the summer. A trip to a new local BBQ restaurant has fueled my hunger for “good Q” – and my desire to perfect my own.

I’ve been checking out this site for a few days – and you folks have me hooked! I am planning on expanding my arsenal – considering a Char Griller ….and am toying with the idea of building my own UDS.

I’m looking forward to learning from you fine people here…and when the weather allows here in chilly and wet North East Ohio, sharing some of my results. At least via posts (but if you’re local, what the heck…stop by!).

Welcome John, glad you started getting some real use out of your smoker.
1-2 times a year...did you not hear your smoker crying out for more attention?

When I joined the site I thought it a bit strange people smoked 3-4 times a week and more, now I find myself in the more category smoking 4-5 times a week.
Even occasionally fire up the smoker just to reheat something
