I have a Great Outdoors Smoky Mountain Smoker that I have enjoyed for approx. 1 year. recently the Acme plastic nut that attaches the unit to the propane tank disintegrated into a thousand pieces. I have searched but cannot find a replacement connection that will fit into the regulator which seems to have a smaller port and threads than the standard 1/4" NPT threaded replacement acme nut. Anyone have any ideas for me?

First off, welcome to the SMF. When you get a chance, could you please hit up the Roster Call forums and post an introduction of yourself and your grilling and smoking equipment.

I just spent about 5 minutes Googling your part and have not come up with anything solid. How about replacing the hose and connector?

Do you have a good propane dealer in your area? IF so I bet they will have something to match up with the hose and tank -

Racey - I Googled too, that's what led me here. Replacing the hose would take me back to another connection with a small thread.

Scarbelly - Good suggestion. I'm in the sticks of North Dakota. The search continues.
