Hello everybody,
My name is Don and I reside in sunny Orlando, FL. I'm a total novice to smoking and just unpacked an early Christmas present, a Masterbuilt electric smokehouse, purchased from Bass Pro Shop on black friday for only 129.99.
I've always been a regular on the grill, cooking as often as 3 or 4 times a week. Even tried a smoker box in the grill while cooking drunk chicken but it never really picked up the smoke flavor. I've signed up for the free 5 day e-course on smoking basics and am anxious to get started.
Sure am glad I found this forum. I need all the schooling I can get and it appears as though there is a wealth of good info on here and a bunch of friendly folks to answer both all the rookie questions as well as the tough ones.
Happy Smokin'
Don
