I learned prior to this Thanksgiving that my Mother-in-Law was not including a smoked turkey for our Thanksgiving meal this year while hosting about 25 family members. So, I decided to provide one...

Purchased a NB Bandera and accessories on Tuesday night, assembled it, found Smoking Meat.com, and began learning. (Thank you Jeff and Forum members) for the vast amount of knowledge and experience provided here!

While the new smoker was receiving its initial seasoning, my 12.5 lb. turkey as sitting in the brine collection I discovered here. With all in seemingly order, Wednesday afternoon/evening I successfully smoked a wonderful turkey, ham, pork loins, and assorted brats. Everyone raved!

After the ball game tomorrow, it is time for my first ribs...

Happy Thanksgiving!
