Going to name this after you Ron. After re uniting me with Yoshida's I am doing a yard bird smoke today. Brined the cut up chicken in Yoshida's, water, and a splash of cider vinegar for 4 hours. Lightly coated the skin with kosher salt after rinsing . Got it in the little Braunfels with lump coal and Hickory at 250. TBS in full affect. Spritzing with yoshida's and cider vinegar. Cant wait for dinner!

Here it is hitting the smoker. More pics later!

That Yoshida's is really good stuff
The fact is that some of us think Ron might bathe in it too!

Almost ready to pull.. going to do a quick grill before I plate. Looks good so far. The smell coming out of that smoker is awesome.

Yes That would be an honor to have a smoked dish named after you. It's like an ideal or something.

Learned a lot from Ron. seams only fitting since Yoshida is like crack to him.

Here it is hot off the grill. I was a bit worried it was going to have too much flavor being almost glazed by the spritz, but it didnt. Skin was right on the money. nice and crisp, and great flavor. Meat flavor was perhaps a bit better in the dark meat, but good all around. Wife say's this will be asked for again.

All I can say is WOW. They look great and I am honored to have a smoke named after me. Hope you liked them as much as I do, Youshida's rocks. Ahh, there goes my stock.
Thanks.
