What part of PA ?
My Uncle's farm furnished milk to "Lehigh Valley Dairy", here in PA.

Can't wait to check out some of your recipes and Qviews, especially with the fresh cuts of meat.
I'm from Lebanon, PA. That's west of Philly 2 hours drive, 45 minutes east of Harrisburg. We ship our milk to Land O Lakes, used to ship to Hershey chocolate (15 minute drive) until they decided they needed a middle man to screw us dairymen.
I'm in the process of building a 55 gallon drum smoker. I have a fire lit right now trying to burn paint off the inside. I plan to keep it simple and not spend more than 50 bucks. Got the drum for free, and hope to put in a propane burner. I need to find some scrap (not hard to find on a farm!) to make the smoke generator. I plan to use maybe charcoal with soaked wood chips.
I have read books and am currently taking the 5 day course but food poisoning is a concern for me. This hobby will stop immediately if someone gets sick with my food. When I'm ready to smoke I may post what I'm doing and get your input.
