I've checked out Northern tool and found one that is 1/2 hp, 5 speed. Anybody have any other suggestions, tips. I'll mostly be working with wood.
Thank you my friends.

I just checked your area on craigslist, check it out, its loaded with them.

I have had probs. in the past with Craiglist, so I went to the Grizzly site. I found a nice 1/2 hp unit that I ordered, the low cost of shipping really was a deciding factor. I thank you for thje great reference. Have a great weekend.

I to have heard of some horror stories from Craig's list and to what I've heard so have the police. They say atleast here in Fla they say it one of the biggest home of stolen stuff and prostatution. But the drill press your looking at Rich looks pretty good deal for the money and even better if you are only using it for wood. Go For It I would. I have made a boat load of furniture not in any recent years but I once owned a custom furinture company.
