Greetings from Thousand Oaks, CA

Thread Starter
My second post here. I put in a thread for a digital thermo on sale at Buy.com just a few minutes ago.

I have been lurking for a few months here. Just trying to go ninja while I get ideas on new things to smoke. Been smoking meats for 5 years now and my kids have been loving them.

I am not a newbie at smoking and definitely an experienced griller as I cater to my church members every now and then.

Favorite and most proud of smoked meats - Pork Shoulders and Brisket (pastrami included).

Favorite work (non-meat) - Tofu (I know....I know....) but I am very close to perfecting this for my vegetarian friends. Coffee - I am a semi-professional coffee roaster.

First off welcome Harry to SMF. You'll like it here cause there are abunch of good folks here that would just love to help you out with just about anything to do with smoking. We really like to have newbies here because they can bring in a new propective to how things are done. There's nothing like a new set of eyes to give and new way to make things that little differant to make things alittle better. So I hope you know about the Qview here.
Here's a link to photobucket it's free and easy to download pictures. Then if your really new to smoking Look up the E-course.
It's also free and it will give you the basics of smoking. So after all of that you just need to go grab something to smoke and if you have any question just post them here and we will answer it quickly so you don't have any mishaps with your smoke.

Welcome to the site Harry.
Would love to get your recipe for smoked tofu sometime, not for myself but for my Dad who is a vegetarian so I like to try and find things to smoke him that he would actually eat.
