Hello to everyone, Have been lurking since the first part of Aug., tried to register about a month ago, had trouble

but finally got everything to work today

so here I am. As you can from my name i'm a grandfather & and so must be a father. Married and 66 yo. Live in south central CT. Have been grilling all my life. Started smoking about 4 years ago when I got a SS GOSM from Costco. Also have a SS Dyansty grill and a used Braunfels charcoal /wood side by side that I got last fall. There are no mods to the ecb and i'm sorry to say I have never used it, but will soon with the help of everyone here. John aka: Grandpajohn

Beer - you need to take video of that grand cafe in operation, not just still pics but I need some video of that badboy working !!!

First off welcome John to SMF. You'll like it here cause there are abunch of good folks here that would just love to help you out with just about anythignto do with smoking. We really like to have newbies here because they can bring in a new propective to how things are done. There's nothing like a new set of eyes to give and new way to make things that little differant to make things alittle better. So I hope you know about the Qview here. We like to see your smoker and what your smoking on. So grab your camera and show us how you do it.

Welcome to the SMF John, I'm much younger than you are so I don't know if we can relate to one another. I am 65 and a great grampa. My grandkids are having kids. How scarey is that?
