I make this same breakfast every time I camp. It's one of my favorites. :)

I start by frying some potatoes and onions...

Make hollandaise sauce by using three egg yolks with lemon juice..then add butter and seasonings...

Grill some sliced ham...

Start my eggs and toast some english muffins....

I like fruit.

Thanks for checking out my campfire breakfast!

Looks like a great breakfast

Man I knew this was gonna be a good one, that is one hell of a way to start off a campfire breakfast, probably the first time I have seen a hollandaise sauce made over a campfire as well....Good stuff as always Jeanie...

Excellent Qview. Its a bit rustic but what the heck You're camping after all and can't always expect to get something fancy to eat way out there in the bush.

All Kidding aside your meals always make me drool. Your presentation is superb.

What many people do not realize is just how easy it is to cook and bake in a Dutch Oven. With very little practice you can make almost anything in a Dutch that you can make in a regular oven.

A huge plus is that food always tastes better when you're camping.
After about day 3 out in the wilds I like to make a nice loaf of fresh bread in the Dutch to go with a steaming kettle of Dutch's beans. Man can you get the troops attention with a meal like that. http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/for...ad.php?t=72049

Tip. Delay the meal till everyone is starving to death by the time you do serve it they will think it is the best thing they have ever tasted. Thus you attain the god-like status as it should be.

Jeanie I usually use a double boiler over the grill to temper the eggs for the Hollandaise the recipe is basically the same as yours. My wife cheats and uses packaged Hollandaise. Our way is way way better.

I am definetly going to go camping near you now. You cann't get better food at a good diner. That really some good eats

for sure between this and dinner too.

Beautiful food again, jeanie...... but I have to say where's the grits and sausage gravy?

Terrific looking spread again, Cowgirl.

The way that you use the entire grill top AND incorporate the dutch oven (to make a sauce no less!) is very inspiring. I've long used spare grill grates salvaged from scrapheap-bound old grills to cook when camping, but have been various curious to use the rotating grill top to make use of the space and heat control.

Now if I can only convince the bride this is a "necessary expense" prior to our next trip...

Thanks for the continued impressive camping grub.

Hey Mike, come on out... I ain't skeered!

Thank you Mr Pink! I love my grate, it's just expanded metal with 1" tubing welded on to keep it from warping. I made this one large enough to move food out of the heat zone.
I agree ....you make your own heat areas, burn the wood down to hot coals and you can move them where ever you need them. I like to keep a hot fire going too for steaks and such, then low heat coals for roasting beef ribs or simmering pots of beans etc..

When I get lazy, I cook the meal underground. lol http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/for...ad.php?t=67303

I forgot to say... old oven racks are also handy on a campfire.

Very nice breakfast... However, I have never seen a cowboy show where the drovers were served "Eggs Benedict". LOL
