For those of you who checked out my "A Chuckie A Meatloaf and some Moinks walk into a bar..." thread
http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/for...threadid=80840
saw that with the chuckie I made some delicious beef sandwiches last night for dinner. Well tonight, before I bagged up a couple of sammies worth I decided I'd make myself a Pulled Beef BBQ pizza.

It was a last minute idea since the wife offered me chicken nuggets that the kids were having (reference the thread "who does the cooking in your house")...uh, no thanks.

Started with a premade personal size Mamma Mary's pizza crust. Something my 10 year old likes to make Peanut Butter and Jelly pizzas with.

to that I added a 50/50 blend of Gates Original BBQ Sauce and bottled Contadina pizza sauce.

a nice layer of grated parmesean

PILE ON THE BEEF!

a nice layer of the onions that were in the au jus
ry%3D400

3 slices of Provalone cheese
ry%3D400

a layer of shredded Cheddar

450* for 10 minutes then 3 minutes on broil

Is it possible that I've created something better than the Italian Beef Sandwich I had last night? Hmmmm, too tough to call. But if you were to ask me right now if I want another slice of that pie or if I want another bite of that sammie....I'm going with the pizza tonight baby!

I think I'm onto something, what do you all think?

Oh, by the way, the wife snagged a piece

nice, I get Italian Beef on my pizza all the time here in chicagoland.

I also get one with Italian sausage, Italian beef, green pepper, and giardinara, alot like a "beef and sausage combo" sandwich.

Ok, ya made me check this one out. Glad I did. That pie looks awesome! I have made them with pp but not beef. I'll have to give this one a try. And, I'll give ya

Verrrrrrry nice Dude. Looks like I need to do a chuckie -between your post and Fireitup's chuckie chili, I suddenly need some smoked beef. The possibilities have no boundaries.

Thanks everyone. The chuckie may be my new favorite. But pleeeeaaaase don't tell the corned beef brisket, or the chicken quarters.

Pizza is like fatties - you can put anything on them!
Smoked Ital beef sounds great, nice job. :)

Only one improvement - you really need to make your own dough, that store bought stuff tastes like cr@p in comparison. Its unbelievably easy:
Stir 2 tbls yeast and 2 tbls honey into 95* water, in a minute or 2 it'll start to foam. Dump it into 3 1/2 cups flour, add 1/4 cup EVOO, add 1/2 tsp salt. Knead. Add flour to get the right consistency. (You want it sort of sticky, but not sticky enough to stick to your hand.) After it rises (time depends on the type of yeast), spread it out, add toppings, cook. We cook it on the weber in summer, oven in winter. Experiment with different types of flour, but "bread flour" is easiest.
