Anyone ever used one of these for a temp control unit?

I am looking at getting one of these units for my freezer smoker to control the temp. Its a Ranco ETC-111000 - single stage ETC temperature control w/ sensor (120/240v input) . There is a pic and the link to it. I just want to get some input before I order it. Thanks.....

X2, I use one that looks similar, but it is made (or marketed) by Johnson controls. You will need a relay or ssr rated for what ever current your heater uses.

We have them on some of the equipment where I work. I see it only goes to 220 degrees. You might want something that will go to a higher temp.

Check here. They might have what you need. http://auberins.com/

I have seen those units and they are nice but alot more expensive then this unit and I also know the quality of this unit, we have one at my work place. I can get this style of controller for about 50 bucks v. auberins are in the 150 range. It would be nice if it did go higher but for most things 220 should be good. The smoker that I would be mainly using it on I will only be using it for summer sausage and fry sausage mainly.
