I have to give credit where credit is due, I purchased a Smoke Vault 24 in May 08, I used it during the summer and that was it, less than three months. I went to use it in early spring and I got a backdraft from the venturi tube which burned up my switch/ingnitor/gas valve. well I called camp chef and they said they would send me one as soon as they came in from china with no arguments or convincing needed...granted it took 3 months to get the part, I put it on and realized that the burner had collapsed in the center from heat and that was what was causing all my problems...so I called them up and explained and within 48 hours they had sent me out another burner no charge. I have it all back together now, and looks as though it is fixed...I won't know for sure until I do a little smoking but it looks promising. The reason I'm explaining all of this is if you like good ole fashion customer service you need to purchase this company's products, just in case you were on the fence with another product.

I have just a little toe on the fence on buying a smoke vault and really I don't know what is holding me back the wife even says go get it. But it is nice to know that they will stand behind their product not many companies these days that will.

I was just messing around with mine last winter and broke the orifice when re-installing it. They sent me a whole new assembly free of charge. Made me glad my daughter-in-law and I bought one for my step-son's birthday last year. I just did 15 pounds of Canadian bacon and it held right at 230 degrees for over 6 hours. Great unit.

Good to know...got my 24 from my kid's & wife for Father's Day '09, no probs so far...really good rig in my books. And, it turns out wicked good smokes.
