I have been loving the SMF! Decided to go ahead and get my First Q-view knocked out. Today I am doing to mealoaf, actually 2 of them. One is a 2 pounder and the other is 3. Also Have some chicken Wings on there. I did some last weekend and they were the best I have ever eaten.

Here is the meat Loaf
  • 5 pounds ground chuck
  • 1 and 1/2 cups bread crums
  • 5 TBLS McCormick Hamburger seasoning
  • 3 TBLS soysauce
  • 1/2 cup katsup
  • 1/2 cup Sweet Baby Rays original
  • 2 whole green bell peppers
  • 1 whole medium onion

After the 1st is formed. I made a sort of aluminum foil pan with for the grease to escape.

Here are the chicken wings

Soaked overnight in apple juice and brown sugar and hot suace. Rubbed with McCormick pork rub (which is great on chicken)

Smoking with Hickory soaked in apple juice and bourbon on the SnP

Will back in a few hours with the rest...

Looks like a good start I'll be looking for the updates

Everything look like it doing just fine to me. I'm kinda courous about that chicken suace I haven't heard of thet stuff and where do you get it at ? lol
Your Doing great

Here is all the finished foods.

This is the first meatloaf. It was delicious!!!

Here are the wings. The loaf was great but these wings are the best meat I have smoked to date. absolutley amazing. I soaked them in apple juice over night with salt and brown sugar. when I pulled the wings out of the juice I put the juice in a pan and added McCormicks pork rub, sweet baby rays, soy sauce, and hot sauce not sure on the amounts. I also put the pork rub on the wings. They were really good.

Smoked zucinni. Just salted.

This is the bigger meatloaf. MMMM...

Well we had an amazaing dinner and can't wait untill next weekend to get my next smoke on! I don't even know what I am going to smoke next weekend yet. Maybe some spare ribs.

Thanks for checkin out my smoke!!!!

Scratch that. I just talked to a friend who is coming through with some rabbit next week. That means smoked rabbit next weekend. I have never cooked rabbit at all, much less on the smoker. Any tips?

The meatloaf sounds awesome. I am going to try it next weekend but might use a pork/ground beef mix instead of all ground beef.

Congrats on your success!

I smoked a meatloaf for the first time earlier this week.

There were enough leftovers for about two sandwiches the next day and the family delcared it a keeper recipe.

I have always enjoyed it but who knew cooking could be so much fun!

Brine / marinate heavily, and don't overcook! if it's wild rabbit it will go from tender to leather within a few degree's.

Good job on the meatloaf and wings.

I cooked my first meatloaf in my ccsv recently and it turned out awesome!

Haven't tried chicken wings on the grill / smoker yet... will have to add that to me smoke list.
