Hello, I sm Gavin from Joplin, mo. The first time I have ever personally smoked any kind of meat was about 1 month ago. I ended up getting an old Brinkman Smoke N Grill given to me and decided to put it to use. I didn't know a thing about how to smoke meat. I just was wondering through the store and ended up grabbing a pork loin. I smoked it and it turned out pretty good. Since then I have smoked 2 whole chickens, a batch of chicken wings(excellent) and some bacon wrapped water chestnuts and zuccini cabobs. All of which turned out great. I have used this forum for all the help I needed going into these smokes and I cant thank everyone enough for the helpful posts. I now have an old offset smoker picked up at a yard sale and I can't wait to post some pics of my next smoke. Thanks all!!

It's not automatic this is for everyone though...I just recently bought a 2nd New Braunfels Bandera and GAVE it to a friend to try and see if he would like it... He likes Ribs the old fashioned 'boiled' and grilled for 15 mins way instead of smoked!!!...I couldn't believe my ears, but somethings aren't for everyone I guess.
That just means I get my Smoker back from him!!!...YEAH!!!
