Just tried it for the first time on Saturday - total heat issues w the grill, but the end results were awesome (thanks to a final finish in the oven).

finishing like that if you are in a hurry. I finished my ribs on the grill after smoking them for 7.5 hours. Just a quick sear on them. I had grilled some shrimp and corn on the cob, so still had hot coals on them. Put each rack on for about 5 minutes and they came out perfect.

Welcome metsker. What temp were you cooking them at and was the temp gause you were using one that said Warm, Ideal and Hot? I think the Brinkamnn bullets usually use them gauges. If you were, I would suggest investing in something more reliable like a probe therm.

Welcome to SMF. Glad to have you here and glad your smoke turned out good. Take the 5-day ecourse. It has alot of great information in there that will help you out.
