Fatties, YEAH!!!

I tried my hand at making fatties for the 4th, thanks everyone for the help, very good, I used the JD recipe posted and prepared them Friday night. I stuffed them with sautéed yellow, red and green bell peppers, schrooms, onions and topped off with emmenthal and mozzarella. Since it was my first time I didn’t plan on taking any pics because I wasn’t sure how it would turn out.

Mrs. JPT passed through the kitchen about the time I finished with the bacon weave, she said, “You gotta take a picture of that!”






I had both the WSM and the GOSM loaded, the WSM with chicken and the GOSM with a leg of lamb, the fatties and ABT’s.

The leg of lamb was for a friend and since one fattie was finished I sliced off some for him and then left to deliver.

Mrs. JPT took over for me and when I returned every thing was wrapped in foil and in the cooler except the wings and the last fattie.






Sorry there aren’t any pics of the fattie sliced, when I got back they had saved just and end for me to taste, the second fattie was frozen for later in the week and they were waiting for me to return to eat the ABT’s, I didn’t have time to take pics of them because 18 disappeared in 60 seconds!

Thanks for the help, I’ll be making fatties again soon.

Looks nice. Im sure you will be doing more. Good arent they.
 
Hey Gene, great post thanks for sharing! I wish you would have posted a pic of that leg of lamb so I could show Mrs Rivet how great they can look and taste smoked. We have 3 legs in the deepfreeze and she won't let me smoke a one!

I have to say they look good I would like to try some lamb myself.. Iam in the same boat as Rivet my wife will not think about eating lamb...
