Just a quick hello. I see there are other North Carolinians on here!

Maybe some one can tell me where I can update my profile and create a signature?

For now, 49 years old, firefighter for the last 22 years, live in Sanford, have a Phoenix Stainless Grill (they were made in Sanford but have since closed down), and want to make my own smokers or eventually buy a Lang...anybody got one they want to get rid of?

Welcome Bobby from Chadbourn NC. Hope you enjoy your stay on SMF. I cant find many used smokers around here. I keep looking on Craigslist in Wilmington, Fayettville and Myrtle beach and there are very few. Look in Raleighs Craigslist they usually have a few different kind of used ones.

Hey Bobby, welcome to the forum! I guess I can't help you with locating a smoker up here, but I will wish you the best of luck in finding one that meets your needs.

If I may, I'd suggest that you look for a med/small rig to start out on...then after you're comfortable with your skills, go bigger if you find the need for more cooking space.
