Well, just outside of Philly, in Bristol PA. I found this place from a friend on another forum when I had a disastrous 1st smoking experience where I could not keep the temp high enough no matter what I did. I am an avid (and consider myself to be good, lol) charcoal griller, but boy smoking did not get off on the right foot.

Through a link provided here, it appears as I already have found the solution to my problem. I have the Brinkman square dual door smoker. I read a thread here that states he replaced his charcoal pan with a Grilling Wok, with holes all through the sides and that fixed the temp issue. So I am truly hoping that works for me. I had a feeling my fuel was being smothered on Saturday.

Anyway, wanted to say hi, and I can tell I will be spending some time at these forums. Avid griller, new smoker. Any tips are welcome. Thanks.

Welcome to SMF. Glad you joined us and that you found a possible solution to your problem already.

Welcome to the forum Da Smoker. The pans that come with those smokers don't seem to have enough holes for good air flow. Glad to hear you already solved that problem. Looking forward to your input here! :)

The pans that came with my smoker came with NO HOLES. lol. Thanx though. And uh, why do threads go backwards here, is it a setting I must changed?

lol Wow! They were really making it hard for ya!

If you go to your userCP at the top of the page, then click on "edit Options" there should be a section for changing how you view threads.

If that doesn't help, let me know!
