My take on Texas Ancho BBQ sauce

ancho is a great pepper to use-but IT does go well with many others in a mix-I make chili powders and sauces and rarley use just I type-theres flavor heat etc in chili's-I like blends-and the add of commen spices.

I agree and blend many different chiles for peppers.This recipe is just a basic one that is a little different with use of one pepper.This sauce is usualy served with brisket or other meat drippings added to keep it simple.My ketchup is complex and it does wonders for flavor profile-pickling spices,allspice berries etc.My leeks and garlic also bump it up-but it is not too complex-which is a change of pace for me anyways-thanks for input.
