This will be a few day process so just stay tuned. Ill update every step of the way.

Today was the only time i would have to rub the shoulder so i hope sitting for a little over a day and a half with rub will not hurt the shoulder.
I used a basic recipe i stumbled upon for a brisket somewhere on this site.

"SHUT UP KRIS, SHOW US PICS"

you asked, here they are.

Congratulations on a REAL NICE price! You sure got a nice hunk of shoulder meat there too, should cook up tender as can be. No worries on the rub for a day or so, you can rub the meat as far in advance as you want, won't hurt anything.

As a matter of personal preference, when I make a brisket, I rub it the night before I'm going to smoke it.

May the TBS follow you, and let us see some q-vue!

Good score on the beef. I don't think the extra time with the rub will change the end result. Good luck my friend.

won't hurt - should only make it better ~

keep us informed! love the watermelon!

Really nice Kris! Great price, can't wait to see how it turns out.
Love the watermelon pic, a bit violent.
Reminds me of one of the special effects out of a Troma movie.
Long live The Toxic Avenger!

Hope you get some good Qview for us to drool over...
