Ok, since most of you guys are older and wiser than I. Im sure you have much more knowledge than I do at this point on smokers. I know the types and all that good stuff but as to size, brand, options ya da ya da I have no clue.

I am living in an apartment but I have a small deck that I will be doing the smoking from. I was first looking at a little standard brinkmann but I would really like to have temp adjustment and a few racks. So I have been shopping around the great web and found this guy.

Kenmore Pro

I didn't know if anyone had experience with these? Or any recommendations as to where I should be shopping a place with great deals.

I debating building my own and piecing together the temp controls but being in school that seems like more time than I really want to spend with my crazy schedule.

So if anyone has some input I would greatly appreciate it.

First thing I looked at is the "satisfaction guarantee", you have 90 days to check it out. I don't see a downside here. I would like to see the inside and wish the unit had a vent or chimney, but for that price it seems to be a lot of cooker.
This seems to me to be a good entry level smoker and it does fit your space requirements.
I would suggest a cover if it is to be stored outside.

Thanks, the cover is a great idea!

And I am pretty good at making stuff so I could always throw a chimney on it. I did wonder the same thing when I saw it didn't have one.

I got one of these back a couple months ago. Its a cool little smoker tuned out some good grub. As far a complaints it takes a little while to git used to it but you will need a digital therm for the internal temp, the one on the door sucks mine was off by like 20 degrees and dont think about cooking directions or anything it doesnt come with it i did a cpl threads about it some time ago with some q view dont no if that will help.

The price is good mine sits outside under a cover for a kettle grill no prob yet

Sorry if that didnt help im at work trying to rush lol

Thanks, that is good input. I was planning on getting a few digital probes. I would never trust the "on the door" type.

Anything else? I got thermos and a cover....
