Wanted to introduce my self here and say hello from Cartersville, GA. I have been reading on here the past couple of weeks and love all the info & tips.

My smoker is a "Smoky Mountain Series" charcoal fired smoker and was my bargain of the year - it cost me nothing other than the labor to clean it up and a couple cans of paint.

So far she has smoked pork chops, sausage, ribs, chicken, and ham. All excellent results as seen here from 4/11/09

As far as age - I was told that it was used only 2-5 time but never the way I use it though. The racks had very little soot on them - I put a stop to that..

I am very impressed on the way it cooks - on Saturday it was 58 F and and a light breeze from the NW and I had no problem maintaining the temp and kept it between 180 F & 220 F. The gauge on mine seems to be accurate for the most part.

What is important is my wife was happy with the results. PDT_Armataz_01_37.gif
