Hay there, I've been lurking this forum for some time, feels good to actually make some posts. I'm currently on my third El Cheapo Brinkman, I know there's not much to them, but they've made some fantastic bbq for me in the past. Plus, I've always thought that it ain't about the smoker, its about the cook, so haven't been able to talk myself into anything fancier:) My favorite things to smoke are ribs, brisket, boston butt and chicken wings. Anyway, I appreciate the time you guys and gals take to share your recipies, pictures, ideas, etc......I've learned a lot over the years and am looking forward to my first "q-veiw" over the weekend, weather permitting.

Welcome.Send some Q-view of that texas brisket-love how its done down there.

Welcome aboard!

Reminds me of when I was 16. I bought an old junker electric guitar with a bent neck, cracked bridges, etc....... I struggled with that thing for months and decided I could never play it because it was in such bad shape. One day a friend of my older brother picked it up and made it sing like an opera singer.

Welcome beer. Nice username. What's your favorite? I'm a Yeungling fan myself.
Odd seeing so many people from Texas on here, I didn't know they like BBQ down there...
Hope to see many posts from you and some beautiful Qview.

Thanks for the warm welcome. It would be hard for me to pick just one, but my favorite beer with bbq is definitely Shiner Bock.

Despite a few setbacks, I'm going ahead with an easter brisket....it's going to be interesting. I'll try to set up another thread with some "Q-view" action and with any luck, I'll have a fatty entry by morning!
