Hey all,

I am seasoning my new pit...I know, I know - it's late! :-) But I got a good nap in, it's holding temps well, and I can sleep when I'm dead. Besides, plenty of beer here

Since I rubbed the inside real good w/ oil, after a while - should i open the drain on the bottom and let that run out...along with some of the impurities, I'm hoping? Or leave it shut??

Thanks!

Brian

Well firstly I would suggest having another beer, think I'll go get one myself.

How much oil did you apply inside your rig? If you have quite a bit of stuffs that are collecting in the bottom I don't see any reason not to drain it. Sure beats heating and cooking it with the nice pure seasoning you are working on.

Any plans on what to smoke to break her in?
