Republic of Texas
Ran across this site by accident and was compelled to sign up and check it out. So far it looks like a great resource for anyone who enjoys smoking. I live here in The Republic of Texas where beef is King. Problem is I married a Georgia peach and for the last 14 years I've been told that Pork is BBQ. Say What!!! So I could probably use a little advice on how to cook pork and make pulled pork. Here in Texas pulled pork means something else completely. I'm pretty much a veteran when it comes to smoking on your typical horizontal smoker. I cook on a 20" double lid horizontal smoker w/ a smoker stack. I always use oak. Any advice on that darned pulled pork would be appreciated. Thanks for the time.
