Has anyone had one or would get one, just want to know how good they are, I know they come in three models and was looking at the larger of the three from Northern Tool & Equip. for $150. What do you all think?

Actually the 3 models that you are refering to are the charcoal models. In electric there is only 1 model. Personally, I'd pass on the Old Smokey as it's a bit under powered. The element is only 1250 watts which might be a problem on cold & windy days. Also the lid is a pretty tight fit and there's no vent. Stale smoke then becomes an issue. If you're set on a wattburner, I'd go with the Brinkmann Gourmet. It has a 1500 watt element and uses a water pan to keep the environment in the smoker moist. The lid is a loose enough fit to not have the stale smoke issue, but I vented mine anyway. Some will say that the Brinkmann has a temp issue (not enough) but playbox sand in the pan takes care of that. You can get one at Home Depot in the $60.00 range. Hope this helps.
