Got a question, a freind of mine caught a few turttle's last year and was asking me to smoke it, i was going to wrap it in bacon, should i just smoke until the bacon is done or what is the proper way to check it. Thanks

there has got to be a slow and low joke in here somewhere.

if its snapping turtle i would smoke it till temps is 165. then foil it and put in oven for a few hrs on 250. or leave foiled on smoker for a few hrs. i assume if not it would be real tough. needs slow cooking. i have about 10 lbs of it still. thanks for reminding me i need to thaw and cook. never smoked it. might just expermient.
