Mentioned i would post this when found. They were 8.96 for 12 pound bag at Home Depot(ordinance road)Lady said they arrived 2 days ago.Looks like there heading north from florida/georgia--finally.

I am in orange county, CA and my home depot has about 60 bags of the Comp Charcoal at 8.99 per bag.

I bought 2

1 for learning, and one for cooking :O)

Thanks for the heads up. I have been wanting to try a bag out but havent seen any at Lowes or the local Ace Hardware. I don't live near a H Depot, so now I will swing by one the next one I see in my 'travels'. I am down here in no-mans land! (but I love it ...)

I am doing roast beef on 18"wsm sunday for the family.I will be more or less grilling but i can post on comparison to kingsford blue.Mr. minion has posted some comparisons. It says on bag that 12 pounds is egual to 15 of the original.

Yes. Burns a lttle hotter so it is a little tricky to use in a UDS. Smells great. Gives meat great flavor. Less ash then Blue. I really like it.
