Hey everyone, I'm a new guy to this forum.
I'm been cooking all my life and professionally as well, but smoking meat is all new to me.
I just bought a new Char-Broil Silver Smoker, I like it, it looks like a good base to start with. I am sure some improvements along the road could make it a great tool...
If you guys have any ideas, tips, recommendations... I welcome them!

Hello there, and welcome to the best smokin' site on the net, SMF that is. That Char-Broil Silver Smoker can really put out some good Q, try reading up on the mods that some folks have done to their smoker. Food for thought. I'ts all good.

+1 on the mods, of course some of these guys could make good q with a couple old milk jugs and a big coffee can I suspect, you're in the right spot.

Thanks to all for the welcome...really appreciated!
I cooked mostly in France (where I'm from) in some fancy places, and now, I want to initiate myself to something that I believe is a real Art in the USA... BBQ!!
I am impressed by the amount of dedication, precision, and LOVE everyone on here puts toward his smoker and meats and BBQ in general.... You guys are real chefs!
This is the true essence of cooking!
Since I'm a newbie, I try to find on the web as much as I can to get some good rub, BBQ sauce recipes and techniques... This place is great with great people...
