I thought i would give r2d2 some love tonight and throw on a tritip.

I used kosher salt, CBP, and a light dusting of granulated garlic. Water has 2 red apples quartered. Smoked using wood chips(apple) in a little container i picked up. 150 degrees later i wrapped it in foil to rest. I was going to take pictures of it sliced, but i ate the evidence.

thanks for looking,

That's a nice looking tri-tip, Kris. When you do your next one, try putting those spuds on the smoker also. They're outstanding!

By the way, I noticed in one of the pics that it appears that you're using a regular household extension cord, or maybe it's an optical conclusion. You might want to consider using a heavier cord as the voltage drop to the Brinkmann is considerable with a light duty cord.

I have no idea what you just said, i was staring at your avatar:)

Actually the spuds were put on the BBQ just shortly after i started. I forgot to add them to the picture.

The extension cord is rated at 1650 watts. IF its one thing i know its electricity(well 12volts atleast). Im a car alarm expert(MECP advanced certified). The cord is a heavier gauge than the element on the brinkman.

Thanks for the heads up though.
