Smoked Chili

Hey guys i was going to try smoking some beef and pork for a chili i am making but i am having a hard time deciding what kinda wood to use any help would be great thanx

I've used both Hickory and Mesquite for my smoked chili and it has turned out good both times.

wood i be better off using wood chunks or chips?

What kind of smoker do you have?

Did a mix of the same with hot sausage and ground beef. It was a big hit.

yea that was the meat i was gonna use but i didnt want the meat to over power the chili. did you cook you meat completly or let it finish in the chili?

Mesquite and/or hickory in chunks are main favorites for that dish.

i use hickory on my pork chili and i use chips since i run a watt burner
