This has probably been asked and answered more than once but my search skills seem to be failing me so I'm going to take the short cut and ask - On a picnic shoulder with the skin still on is it better to leave the skin or remove it before smoking?

I got a good price on a couple in the 10 lb range and thought I'd run them through the GOSM. I've done butts before but never a picnic shoulder. Give me the word folks so I do this right. Thanks in advance for the help and info.

Okay - After a more careful and refined search I was able to find the various opinions on this issue. It would appear that the general trend is to remove the skin. Dog treats seem to be the prefered final product but other treats and treatments have been suggested. Sorry to make everyone march over the same ground. Didn't mean to appear either lazy or stupid. Thanks!
