so here is the start of my labor day smoking. two butts started at 06:30. these will be for a party on sunday. I usually like to cook the day that I will eat but too much to do this weekend for that. anyway enjoy the q-view

Looks like a Landman. I was looking at them before I bought the Lang. Is it the "black dog"?

Good lookin start to a pulled piggy party. I would seperate them butts just a lil bit though, the pick were the two probes are almost touching shows them kinda close. Other than that, they look pretty good.

Make sure ya post some of them finished pics too!

Yep, its the Landmann blackdog 42. the charcoal box is the only mod I mad but if you look at the pics the baffle is not that big so I put a pan of water at the end towards the firebox. temps hold great all the way around. I did go and seperate the butts a bit. should be good now. I love the landmann so far. great heavy steel. holds heat well. plus, I got it off of amazon on sale for $214.00. could not pass it up. more q-view to follow. I never open my smoker until I am ready to pull the meat so no q-view until about 6 of 7 PM i would guess.
