My name is Jon, I'm fairly new at smoking. I've had a smoky mountain upright propane smoker for a few years and used it alot when I first got it.

I recently bought a Chargriller Duo grill (half gas / half charcoal)
Gas side for those last minute things we want to throw on, Charcoal side for those times we want real BBQ.

I just bought the side fire box for this grill and am back in the smoking game and love it.

I work as an IT Manager for a fairly large local church in Rockford, IL

Hello Jon, welcome aboard. Pro-photog here also, though winding down my career. Shot for the local papers for 28 years with 35 years doing Weddings. Now my time is spent shooting the Little League kids and doing travel trips.
Lots of good people here. I am sure you will enjoy it. I have a charcoal GOSM that I did a propane conversion with. Works great.

Welcome Jon,
Must be sumpin bout smokin stuff and takin pictures. I also did weddings as a side in my younger years. I prefer to shoot things that dont move these days. Enjoy the smoke!!
