Been checking out the site and have found tons of helpful info. Can't wait to try some of these things out.
Have only recently gotten into smoking. I'm currently using y standard gas grill and it's working pretty well so far. It's just a Brinkmann 2200 from Walmart. Again, nothing fancy, but has worked surprisingly well for me.
I'm normally a steak guy but have recently decided to try smoking some things. I've gotten a pretty good system down for chicken wings and they are the best thing I've been able to smoke so far. I've had good success with whole chickens as well.
I've only tried ribs twice, with marginal results. Not bad, and fine to eat, but not falling off the bone awesome like I'd hoped for. Tips here have given me a lot of new ways to do that.
Did my first butt last night, using some tips from here, and it turned out completely awesome. It is easily the best piece of meat to come off my grill. I was very pleased and the wife approved as well.
Really looking forward to trying some of the awesome techniques described here.
