I want to smoke a brisket, and have been looking at some of the recipes on here. Can I smoke one with my other meats around 6 hours, or do I have to let it rest for 3 hours like alot suggest?

I am new to smoking, so I am still trying out different meats. I have bought like the small piece of brisket. I don't think its even a pound. I have smoked ham, ribs, chicken, but want to try a brisket. Its just 2 of us, so I dont want to smoke a big one.

Don't worry about smoking a bit too much meat. Most of it freezes well for later use. It's just my wife and I and she can't have too much smoked food (too many stomach surgeries). Guess who get to eat most of it.

Smoke cooking for one is just out of the question. I do whatever I'm doing, package up what doesn't get eaten in a couple of days and I'm set for the month.

i just did a 15 lber as my first brisket and despite being a zombie the next day still have plenty of meat in the freezer after me and the wife ,father n law and choice couple of people from work got through
