This recipe is an ideaicon_idea.gif i came up with after deciding waldorf salad was a good start gone bad. Apples and mayonaise, its just wrong!PDT_Armataz_01_27.gif

3 gala apples
3 granny smith apples
4 baby carrots
2 C vanilla yogurt
lemon juice
raisins, cinnamon, and sugar to suit your taste

Peel, core and grate apples with the large holes on the grater into a large mixing bowl and sprinkle with lemon juice to prevent browning. grate carrots with small holes. Add rasins. Stir in enough yogurt to coat all ingredients and sprinke with cinnamon and sugar.

Give it a try and lemme know what you think.

I'll have to try that one. The granny smith's should give it a nice tangy flavor.

That does look good, I'll probably give it a try this weekend for a side with my salmon and corn, minus the raisins. smile.gif

I did a slaw with apples as well but I used thin sliced red onions and thin sliced fennel. Very similar though.

Like Vlap, I have done an apple slaw with red onions. The recipe also called for and ounce or two of scotch. Very nice contrast with the tartness of the granny smith apples.
