Here's what I have going on today. A ten pound pork loin.

I cut into two pieces and rubbed it with a quarter cup of the following rub cut with a quarter cup of brown sugar:

6 Tablespoons paprika
2 Tablespoons ground black pepper
2 Tablespoons salt
2 Tablespoons sugar
1 Tablespoon chili powder
1 Tablespoon granulated garlic
1 Tablespoon onion powder
1 teaspoon cayenne

I put it in the smoker about noon. I used two chunks of hickory wood and lump charcoal. I'm trying the Minion method for the first time.

I've been basting this with apple juice every hour. Oops, time to go spray them down. Here's a pic from one hour in:

The temp about 15 minutes ago was at 150 and they still looked pretty juicy. I've been spritzing them with apple juice every hour or so. They smell incredible.

150 should be done, i wouldnt let it go more it will dry out, foil it and rest, if serving later towel and cooler, it will cook some more while its resting.
rub sounds good, nice and simple. thks for sharing!!!!

Looking good! But, What Erain said, pull em and let em rest:-)

Let us know how they were!!
