Hey all,

New member from the St Louis area. I just got my new smoker yesterday. It is a Brinkmann Vertical Charcoal Smoker that I converted to propane. I have it fired up and seasoning as I'm writing this. (I can see it out my window for all you safety minded folks). Hopefully I will be able to take some pics to show you my conversion.

I can't wait till it's seasoned and I can start on my first pork shoulder. I'm gonna try and make some killer pulled pork. As soon as Paypal lets me I"m gonna order Jeff's rub and sauce. Can't wait.

Happy Smoke Rings from Sedalia, MO. Got to get those fatties smoking, too. I couldn't believe how just plain Jimmy Dean's sausage tastes smoked and then started stuffing them in the rolls like the threads say. Now you will learn to shop the bargins for smoking stuff. Briskets on sale, sausage on sale, ribs on sale, Chicken leg quarters on sale, Aluminum foil (Hvy Duty) on sale, and spices on sale. You'll learn fast. Lots of luck and you'll love this site. Rich
