I have browsed this site several times and finally registered. Hoping to take my smoking tot he next level. I have been smoking on a Brinkman electric for about 11 years. Have done some pulled pork, ribs and chickens that have drawn good reviews from family, friends and neighbors. Bought a New Braunfels off set charcoal smoke about 5 years ago before they sold out but have never had a lot of sucess with it. Have always had a hard time maintaining temperature and finally decided it was too much trouble. Just bought a new Master Built Electric Smoker and ready to get serious again. From browsing various forums it appears this site will definitely improve my smoking skills. Glad to be on the site.

Welcome to the forum! Sounds like you have plenty of experience, but there may be different techniques or recipes here that you want to try.

Welcome to SMF, glad you joined us. check out the mods that can be done to your new braunfels offset you will be surprised the improvement in temp control I know I have the NB silver and have done the mods.

Welcome from a fellow Virginian. Will be close to your neck of the woods in a couple of weeks. Will be vacationing in Williamsburg for a week. Been to Portsmouth a couple of times. I used to work for Smithfield and came out to the plant there. Enjoy SMF.
