Does anyone know where to find one? This sucks, I was looking for a charcoal smoker (the bar-b-chef) and they apparently stopped making them in April and will start making them again in October. Whoever decided at BBQs GALORE to stop making smokers for the entire summer, only to start again in the first cold winter month needs to be fired. Now I'm looking for a GOSM wide body (24'') and this thing appears to be discontinued as well!!! What the F*&$! Any help is appreciated.
thanks,
dg

I can't help you with the GOSM, but the Smoke Vault 24 is available at Sportsman's Warehouse. They are similar in design but I think the SMV is a little more expensive. I just purchased one for my son's birthday at $289.00.

Bass Pro Online has the big blocks in stock, 24 inch wide

Got my 24" smoke vault at Gander Mountain for $250. It seems a little bit better quality that the GOSM but to be honest I've never really seem teh GOSM in person. Smoke Vault is VERY heavy duty though. And great customer service.

When I was shopping I Called bass proshop and they did NOT have any in stock even though their site said they did. (if you read the fine print it says may be low stock)

The GOSM widebody is not 24" wide I believe thats the Big Block thats 24". The GOSM's are hard to find it seems the company was having problems and I'm still not sure if we will see them readily available again or not. The Smoke Vaults do seem to be built heavier but they are more expensive.

thanks everyone... good info. i was thinking that i should look into buying a vertical "vault" style charcoal smoker as i've heard they're more sturdy and i've already got a conversion kit from afterburner. any thoughts on that?
thanks,
